Here are the top ten reasons to book your next adventure at Saint-Martin de Belleville!

1. Authenticity

Saint-Martin de Belleville is the only and first authentic village in the 3 Valleys that existed before skiing. A picturesque village with narrow streets, authentic stone houses, vaulted stables and cobbled streets. Its authenticity gives a lot of charm and character to the village.

2. Accessibility

By car: taking the A430 highway to Albertville ; 2x2 lanes to Moutiers, then D117 for 20 km to Saint-Martin de Belleville. Access road in excellent condition, no pass to cross to reach the Valley.

By train: direct arrival at the Moutiers Salins train station, then by bus to Saint-Martin de Belleville. There is also the "London-Moutiers" Eurostar and the Thalys, Antwerp and Brussels from Belgium, Amsterdam and Rotterdam from the Netherlands.

By plane: Chambery/Aix (100km), Lyon Saint-Exupery (183 km), Geneve (143 km), Grenoble (180 km). Bus transfers from airports to Saint-Martin de Belleville/Les Menuires.

3. Proximity

Saint-Martin de Belleville is also the closest resort to the major cities and Moutiers; only about ten minutes from Les Menuires and Méribel (with the St Martin and St Martin Express lifts) and 25 minutes from Val Thorens.

Also a proximity with Italy, with the Maurienne valley, with Lake Annecy and Lake Bourget ; as well as Chamonix.

4. Gastronomy

Saint-Martin was voted best gastronomic resort in 2016. Discover its emblematic restaurants: "La Bouitte", a 3-star restaurant in the Michelin Guide; "Simple and better", at the foot of the slopes and opened by the owners of La Bouitte, featuring the best traditional products from Savoie; or "L'étoile des neiges" on the slopes.

5. Nature and mountains

We find an atmosphere resolutely oriented towards nature and the mountains. Large spaces, peaks at 3,000 m with magnificent panoramic views of the Alps and Mont-Blanc (Caron, La Masse, Le Cheval Noir). The resort's slopes guarantee quality snow cover for the entire season as well as quality maintenance and grooming worthy of that of Courchevel. In addition, its privileged location in the 3 Valleys will allow you to ski in the largest ski area in the world.

Come and meet the largest and most beautiful lake in the Belleville Valley, via a path accessible for the whole family. On arrival, the Lac du Lou refuge, nestled in a preserved valley, will allow you to have a well-deserved stop before the descent.

Stroll around the Bruyères water map, a small natural setting, at the bottom of a preserved valley which shelters a remarkable ecosystem: frogs, dragonflies, trout and fountain salmon ... Ideal for walks in winter and for picnics, fishing, and walks by the water in summer.

Wild animals to observe, the freshness of the high altitude, pure water, mountain pastures, agriculture, beautiful refuges, trails for pedestrians and cyclists, dog sledding or snowshoeing, cross-country or cross-country skiing...

Everyone will find what they are looking for with their share of activities. Guaranteed resourcing!

6. Ski-in, ski-out

The several ski lifts of the ski resort connect La Tougnète, Mont de la Chambre and Les 3 marches, and transport you from the domain of Saint-Martin to that of the 3 Valleys. You have access to an incredible variety of tracks and activities. Besides, the ski resort takes everyone's comfort to heart and undertakes to offer new larger cabins making it possible to embark on the ground. And to hit the slopes faster, the ski resort will increase the speed of the cable cars by 30%.

7. Conviviality

A very strong sense of belonging and a rural activity are the foundation of the village's identity. The inhabitants welcome skiers in the middle of their farms, the restaurateurs pick up the skiers when they return from the slopes.... It is a pleasant village where shops are open all year round.

You will find many farms, especially dairy (production of Beaufort, sheep's cheese, goats ...), the House of the Savoy black bee (production of honey), alpine gastronomic culture around herbs, workshops cooking (in La Bouitte), as well as a weekly market of artisans and producers!

8. History

Saint-Martin de Belleville is indeed at the crossroads of two eras. Between tradition and modernity, heritage and tourist attractions, the village has managed to preserve the charm of the Savoy of yesteryear, while adapting in order to deveop its activities related to tourism... Saint-Martin de Belleville is a village and authentic mountain hamlets, with mountain culture (Saint-Martin, Béranger ...); the museum which details the prodigious history of the Belleville valley; the Moulin du Burdin (a perfectly preserved witness to agro-pastoral activity); a baroque heritage: Notre Dame de la Vie, churches of Saint-Martin, Saint-Laurent de-la-Côte, Saint Jean de Belleville; an industrial heritage: La Rageat hydroelectric power station, ski lifts ...

9. Rental prices

Saint-Martin de Belleville is also a wide range of chalets and apartments in a historic mountain village, compact and sprawling, and a life in the year.

Renting in Saint-Martin de Belleville means having the possibility of combining the rustic side of a preserved village, fine cuisine, and quick and easy access to the largest ski area in the world.

Its slightly more eccentric side allows it to offer luxury apartments and chalets with prices from €1,200 per week, by offering a range of goods just as exceptional as its neighboring stations Courchevel or Meribel.
