Skiing this winter: it is officially possible for Europeans!

Good news for the ski industry: the European Commission has announced that no European country will be able to ban travel to any country or region of the European Union!

The arrival of the pandemic in Europe in March led to a wave of border closures within the European Union, restricting freedom of movement. After a partial lifting of these restrictions at the beginning of the summer, the question was what would become of the players in winter tourism.

Since Friday 25 September, the European Commission has declared that there will be no travel restrictions, regardless of the colour code applied, between EU countries and regions.

Classification in 3 colours for all 27 EU states

From now on, the European States will use the same data in order to obtain a common health map. This classification will in no way prevent movement.

Green zone: travel is allowed. These are areas where the circulation of the virus is currently low.

Orange zone: travel is permitted but vigilance is recommended. If you are returning from a country in the orange zone, quarantine and screening are recommended but not mandatory.

Red zone: it is strongly advised not to travel to these zones. If you are returning from a red zone, it is strongly recommended that you are quarantined for 14 days upon your return and that you have a PCR test.
