Skiing in Val Thorens
The Ski Area
The Val Thorens ski area starts at an altitude of 2,300 metres and rises to 3,230 metres from where there are breathtakingly panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers bathed in sunshine.
With 150 kilometres of marked runs catering for all levels, you will certainly not be bored on the slopes of Val Thorens. Easier slopes run from the village, with more technical pistes slightly further afield for the more adventurous.
Breakdown of marked runs:
- 9 black
- 28 red
- 36 blue
- 5 green
Furthermore, because Val Thorens is a purpose-built ski resort, much of the accommodation has ski-in/ski-out access - a considerable advantage.
Did you know ? The entire ski area has toilets and free WIFi.
